Written by Mrs. Connolly

In December 3 sections of the  library, totaling ~2400 books, were inventoried.

Good News ---- none of the Young Adult novels are missing.

However, there are 3 Graphic Novels and 6 Fiction books missing.  Over $100 value.

Please look for the following books:

  How to Draw Monster Trucks
2 Dear America books – Voyage on the great Titanic and Valley of the moon
  Wringer (paperback) by Jerry Spinelli
  Bodies from the Ice
  Bone #5 - Rock Jaw
  Bone #7 - Ghost Circles
  Bone #8 - Treasure Hunters
A Reference Book is missing too --- Lands and Peoples, volume 1

Please help ensure library books are returned so that all the children have  the opportunity to read them.

Thanks to a Hicks-Nichols Grant, we are pleased to announce that the school library now offers an Audio Book Program through ListenUp! Vermont. This program extends the library’s collection and offers an additional way to enjoy a book.

To see the books offered, click on www.listenupvermont.org

· All students with home internet access can use the audio book program from home.

They can either play the audio book on their computer, or use their own MP3 or iPOD players.

Students can get the instructions and their account number from the librarian.

· 5-8th grade students may borrow MP3 players with their choice of narrated audio book.

The MP3 players are considered library material and are covered in the School Handbook under the library policy (see “Overdue or Lost Materials”). If you would like your student to be able to borrow a MP3 player with an audio book, turn in a signed permission form to the librarian.
